The arts need you, more than ever! At AzCA/AA we’re gearing up for our annual advocacy day at the state Capitol, Arts Congress. Our staff and volunteers are busy making appointments with Legislators for our advocates, creating talking points for the day, and offering free arts advocate trainings for all who are interested in learning more about the arts in Arizona and Arts Congress.

Arizona Arts Congress 2009

23^nd ARTS CONGRESS TO BRING ARTS EDUCATORS, ADVOCATES, BUSINESS LEADERS, ARTISTS TO ARIZONA STATE CAPITOL, MONDAY, FEB. 2

 

PHOENIX, Ariz. (Jan. 14, 2009): Arizona’s diverse arts community of artists, arts-related organizations, advocates and business leaders representing tourism and economic development will gather on the Senate Lawn at the Arizona State Capitol for the 23^nd annual Arizona Arts Congress from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday, Feb. 2.

The yearly event includes a short program and meetings with Arizona legislators to discuss the aesthetic, cultural and economic value of the arts across the state and to advocate support for public funding of the arts and arts education.
